Entry level generic software from QuickBooks and Peachtree and mid-market solutions from Sage Microsoft and others are starving your IT reselling business of bottom line profit!

Think about it… these generic software applications are built to serve the needs of a broad range of business such as Bakeries, Builders, Beer Distributors, Consultants and Bike shops. It is no wonder they don’t have the kinds of features needed to run your unique IT equipment business.

There are four ways to force fit generic software for use by an IT reseller:

1. Supplement with Access databases, Excel spreadsheets. 90% of IT resellers using QuickBooks and Peachtree track their inventory separately on spreadsheets or “homebuilt” Access databases which are separate from their accounting systems; creating 100% re-entry and inaccuracies as the dollar values never match between the two systems. 

2. Contract for expensive custom software development. Your Mid-Market software provider  can provide you custom code distracting you from your core business and forcing you to live with the grief of promised programming that does not work the way you would like even though you have paid premium price.  

3. Purchase add-ons which are not very well integrated and are subject to the limitations of the underlying program they are added on to. QuickBooks serialized add on programs do not have the ability to treat inventory items as unique each with its own cost, condition code, location and serial number on invoicing and RMAs while providing the cost to a Net Profit Margin report for rep commission purposes.

4. Re-entry, cut and paste, print, hand carry. Walk to the warehouse, re-entry, cut and paste, print, copy checks, match to invoices, match to shipping documents, file stacks of paper. Cut, paste and email Tracking numbers, Part numbers, Credit Card numbers, and numerous other things hundreds of times per month.
